Newcomer award for Ludwig Trepte

The young actor Ludwig Trepte received the newcomer award for his role in A PIECE OF ME at this year's film festival in Schwerin. defa-spektrum will release the film by Christoph Röhl in autumn.

The last forbidden GDR film

The DEFA-Foundation and defa-spektrum will release the last forbidden film of the DEFA, the comedy HANDS UP OR I'LL SHOOT in July. The film had been forbidden by the SED party in 1966 for its "incorret portrayal of the state's security organs".
The comedy features many popular GDR comedians such as Rolf Herricht, Hans-Joachim Preil, Herbert Köfer, Fred Delmare.
